Another professional course that could be done with the qualification of intermediate is Cost and Work Accountancy (CWA).  After intermediate if worked hard for two to three years then with CWA good job opportunities could be obtained.  In the corporate and service field the cost accountants have great opportunities.   The Cost and Work Accountants is also of three stages as is the chartered accountancy.

• Foundation Course: The candidates who have passed intermediate can register the name and the candidates who are in the final year are also eligible.  The examination would be conducted every year in June and December.  In this, there would be fundamental questions from organization and management fundamentals, accounting, business mathematics and statistics fundamentals.  The candidates who had passed the fundamentals would go to the intermediate stage.
• Intermediate: The main subjects in the cost accountancy would be in the intermediate course.  The total subjects would be divided in two groups.  Along with this course the candidates would have to complete the practical training of three years.  The students who had finished degree need not write the foundation course and can directly appear for the intermediate level.  students who are doing their last year of degree are also eligible for Intermediate course.
• After passing intermediate one should register for the final examination.  The final course deals with the laws of the corporate companies.

After finishing CWA candidates can get job opportunities in government as well as private sectors.   The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Indian Cost Accounts Service (ICAS) and by writing this one can join in the central government services.  In the corporate companies like SAP, ERP dependant jobs the cost accountants are given importance.
